ABOUT THE SHOW

Lady in the Moon is a new contemporary rock musical. It is the story of a young man who grew up in foster care and how he finds a way to feel at home within himself. And although our lead characters Josh and Allison grew up in very different homes, it's what they have in common that ultimately brings them together as one. Lady In The Moon is a PG-13 style love story and will be an uplifting experience for all.

Jason Lally
Lyrics & Music

Jason Lally considers himself a songwriter first and foremost. When Jason was eight years old, he told his birth mother “I need a guitar, so I have a place to put my words”. Although he didn’t get his wish until he was fifteen, he never looked back, writing, grinding, touring, and recording in the 80’s bay area punk scene then 90’s wonderful world of alternative music in San Francisco, Portland Oregon, and NYC. Jason transitioned to singer and songwriter in the mid-90’s where he found even more “space” for his words. Having multiple well reviewed records (later CD’s), too many hours to count on the road and in clubs under his belt as well a stint as writer for EQ magazine it was time for a new adventure… Family man. Jason says, “it’s the most important, and best job I’ve ever had”. During the covid lockdown Jason rediscovered his love of song writing and before he knew what he was doing he had written sixteen songs that told him “I guess you’re writing a musical now”. Jason is passionate about supporting foster youth, and as a former foster youth himself, he makes himself available on a volunteer basis to speak to and mentor transition-age foster youth. Jason is interested in employment opportunities, education, health services, and other critical connections for young people aging out of the foster care system.
